| | | The Bucket Foundation Mission
 Our mission is to assist in the rescue of abandoned, neglected, and/or abused animals and to help with the veterinary and maintenance expenses for companion animals belonging to elderly and/or indigent persons. We also operate 2 small shelters for the permanent care of rescued animals that are not adoptable.
2005 Foundation Activities
- Donated money to a Madison, Alabama, rescue organization for the rental of 3 vans to travel to New Orleans to pick up dozens of Katrina animal refugees. Additional money for their care was also distributed. If you would like to contribute to their ongoing care, go to sarahinc.org.
- Assisted several low income families with payment of veterinary bills.
- Provided funds for cat spaying projects in Mississippi and Tennessee.
- Paid veterinary bills for several rescued strays and placed the animals in good homes.
- Added one new unadoptable fox hound to canine shelter.
- Donated 200 square bales of Bermuda hay and 5 large round Bermuda bales to feed needy horses in Decatur, Alabama.
- Assumed veterinary care bills, feed bills, and farrier bills for 4 horses left behind when their owner was sent to a state drug rehabilitation program.
- Operated 2 canine shelters.
- Maintained two horses with special needs in foster care.
